A Message From Captain Mike...

As of late march, 2010, we sure appreciate everyone's patronage through the busy season.  Thanks to Rick, Patty, Stevie Ray, Glenn, Allen and Chicago Tom for another terrific Super Bowl Party. Your collective talents filled the air with music, lots of laughter and fun for all of our friends who brought tasty covered dishes. The February day was windy and cool but we pulled it off.  The rest of the winter sure followed suit. Cold, Cold, Cold.  I observed ice for the first time ever at the Pelican Bend, by the way, this year marks our 30th year in business.  Even though the winter weather was unpredictable we still managed to slip some off sure fishing trips in.  Captain J.R. running the Line Breaker will take you far and fast off shore to little touched places where grouper, snapper, amberjack, and cobia are still abundant.
Now with the temperature rising and the bay warming up, we will soon be back to our subtropical way of life.  We are looking forward to Tarpon and Snook reappearing in the quickly warming bays. The Southern Kingfish Association Tournaments were held up by the foul weather. They rescheduled the Marco and Naples tournaments into one weekend.  Team Triple J., including owner P.J. Myers and his son Jake, Captain Stephen Cooper, Captain Jeff Smith and Keith Mangus left the field behind.  They caught winning fish on both tournament days.  Jake was top junior angler, adding to his scholarship fund. GO TEAM TRIPLE J.!
As you make your summer plans, we hope you include us in a visit.  We wish for you and your family a safe and healthy summer,
Looking forward to seeing you at the Pelican Bend,

Captain Mike Cooper
